Starting on February 17, 2011, JetBlue will add a flight to Providenciales (PLS) in the Turks and Caicos Islands from John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York, NY. Bookings can now be made, with rates as low as $119 per ticket. In addition to daily flights from JFK, weekly Saturday service during the winter will be offered from Boston Logan International (BOS) Airport in Boston, MA, on February 19, 2011.
The flight from JFK departs at 9 a.m. Eastern Time and arrives at 1 p.m. in Providenciales, which is also in the Eastern Time zone. The departure time from PLS is 2 p.m. with an arrival time at JFK of 5:40 p.m.
The flight from BOS departs at 11 a.m. and arrives at PLS at 2:45 p.m. The departure time from PLS is 3:40 p.m. for an arrival time in Boston of 7:20 p.m.
JetBlue will not charge for the first checked bag. The flights to Providenciales will use a 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft with leather seats and ample legroom in coach, free movies on every seatback, unlimited free snacks and friendly service.
The flight to the Turks and Caicos is the 17th destination in the Caribbean for JetBlue and its 64th destination overall.
