Available Resorts Future Resorts The following resorts are not yet open for business: Getting There Entry Requirements All travelers between the U.S. and the Caribbean will be required to carry passports beginning January 1, 2007 as mandated by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. We encourage you to begin the passport application processes early to avoid unexpected delays. Travelers should allow a minimum of six weeks between their application submission and receipt of passport. Passports can be expedited for an additional fee. A single 30 day visit to the Turks and Caicos is renewable one time and all visits require roundtrip airfare.
Foreign residents of the United States and all other foreign visitors not holding a US Passport must contact the appropriate government authorities to determine the entry and visa requirements. Departure Tax A departure tax of $35 is required for all travelers over the age of 2. Departure tax is subject to change.
What to Wear Lightweight shirts and shorts are best suited to the year-round climate. Occasionally, light sweaters and jackets may be needed during the winter season. While most restaurants are informal, some may require jackets for men and evening-wear for ladies. Resort restaurants typically require a collared shirt and long pants for men and island casual for women.

Necessary Documents: - Original Birth Certificate
- Proof of Status- If single, a sworn affidavit is required. If divorced, proof of Decree Absolute is required. Original or notarized copy, sealed by the Clerk of the Court is acceptable. Widow/Widowers need the Death Certificate of the previous spouse.
- If there’s been a name change by Deed Poll or Adoption, proof is required.
- Letters from both parties stating: occupation, marital status, age, present address and father’s full name.
Restrictions: - A residency period of 1 Day (24-hours) is required before application for a Marriage License can be submitted to the Registrar in Grand Turk. The ceremony can occur any time after approval of the application, which is usually a period of 2-3 days. The person completing the forms must present all original documents to the Registrar.
- The marriage must be solemnized by a registrar of Marriage Officer (usually the Registrar General for Special Licenses) who is entitled to payment of reasonable traveling expenses if the marriage takes place somewhere other than his usual place of business.
- Parties must not be in prohibited degree of relationship to one another.
- For church weddings, many ministers require proof of membership.
