You could go on any resort but you couldn't eat or drink at them all just the ones you stayed at or the hotels "below" your price range. I would go back but I will stay at the Iberostar Maya next time so that I can have full advantage of better dinner choices. Cant's say enough about the staff at Iberostar, from check-in to maid, to staff driving tram/golf carts, everybody was always smiling, very friendly and couldn't do enough for the visitors at Del Mar. Room was fabulous, especially loved the different animals we had shaped on our beds and fancy curtain decorations. Food was great! No reason for anb=ybody to leave there hungry. Best meal for me was the Tropical restaurant, flank steak and Japanese was also one of my favorites including the show put on by our Chef. Least favorite was Mediterranean. Plenty to do here. Pool was great, either sun or shade under the huts as was the beach. My only suggestion to everybody is to get to either pool or beach early. Hard to find 7 chairs together but we learned quickly. Good shopping, went to Playa-Del-Carmen, taxi service from the shopping center very confusing. They want to shove as many people in the taxi as possible so that they can get good tips. We waited for 1/2 hr in taxi to return to our resort as others were coming by and picking up people and leaving. Poor communication. My husband went on snorking tour and was quoted 1/2 hr to lagoon that took almost 2 hrs. Couple of fish to see snorking but a great disappointment for him and some of our friends. All in all a wonderful week - everyday at the Del Mar was like another day in paradise!!!!!!!!!!! Show Intro Only
