An update on the Moon Palace Punta Cana facilities: The beauty salon, the gift shop and the Cana boutique are now open. Regarding restaurants and bars: Santé Restaurant - open Prime Grill - expected to open on April 10, 2009 Samba restaurant - expected to open on April 30, 2009 Pool snack bars - 3 currently open Lucca(thematic)- opening January 31st, 2009 Blue Bar-expected opening January 31 Rain Deli-expected open February 15th Tao-expected open March 1st Samba-expected open March 15th

Moon Palace Casino, Golf and Spa is currently set for an opening along the shores of the Dominican Republic, in the Punta Cana area.
1,791 rooms are planned for the new Moon Palace Casino resort. Each accommodations comes complete with a double Jacuzzi, stocked in-room liquor dispenser, mini bar, and luxury bath amenities.
13 outdoor pools offer scenic views and numerous swim-up bars. At the Moon Palace Casino Resort, a state of the art spa awaits while the Dolphinarium will entertain the little ones with choreographed dolphin performances. Float down a lazy river that meanders throughout the resort or rest beachside on the beautiful Macao Beach.
Palace Resorts signature all inclusive plan will include a choice of eleven restaurants and seven bars. Choose from Italian, Brazilian, Asian, American, Mexican and other styles of cuisine. Premium International and local beverages will flow from a multitude of bars.
A full range of daily activities are complemented by the 45,000 square foot Casino, nightly theme parties, and shows in the Moon Palace theater. A disco keeps nights moving for the energetic.

Overall, it was a great time but it should be noted that they opened about three months early. The construction doesn't bother the guests at all but it must be stated that small "punch list" construction items in the occupied buildings need to be finished. Rooms are very comfortable but missing a few items to complete the furnishings. The staff and people at the resort are wonderful and go out of their way to make guests comfortable. The all inclusive is well priced and discounted because several amenities have not yet opened. The food is great; all call-liquor as well as a fine wine selection are available at no cost and the resturants offer a variety of options. The casino and golf course are not open but the Hotel will make arrangements to transport you to a nereby casino and two golf courses. We are looking forward to going back in a year when the resort will be complete and they have a year of experience under their belt. Show Intro Only
