Menus at the restaurants were a bit limited, but the food was good. The buffet at the World Cafe was excellent. I highly recomm.. Read Full Review

Atmosphere was a little relaxed for my liking ie. elevator music poolside, but still a fun time. Jeff, Kansas City Visted resort between 10/28/2008 and 11/11/2008 Yes a 30 minute ride to Secrets Maroma is correct but it's at least another 20 minute plus ride to the resort due to the war torn road the takes you to the front door and that is if there aren't numerous buses comming out of the resort on the one lane road in which you will wait even longer. Once in the resort you will be Amazed by the excellent amenities that await you... we had champaigne waiting for us during check in. once you are checked in everything will fall into place youo will get first class service till the moment you check out. We were amazed at the food everywhere but the Mexican restaurant, I must have eaten 10 pounds of Grouper and Callamari EXCELENT! The drinks are all top notch brands we never waited on drinks the entire 8 days all the blended drinks are equally as great (try the Tango Mango down by the beach. The shows were incredible, we really loved the Halloween show and the Fire show was HOT! the only big Gotcha is the taxi situation, no matter what you do you will pay whatever the concier say which is usually 40$ roundtrip to Playa Del Carmen or 65$ one way to Cancun SO what you do is find a cab driver you like and get his number and call him directly or setup pre determined times you will save alot.. I don't mind tipping the taxi drivers I just dont think the concieres should get a cut for standing around with thier thumbs up thier butts!!! As far as tipping I diden't see hardley any of it anywhere however let me tell you how much nicer your room will be if you put a couple bucks on your pillow every morning and I also took care of the servers Luci at the main bar and Fernando and the Beach bar. Tours if you can find a reputable tour company outside the Hotel because again they get a huge cut if you book through the hotel (Example we did the Tulum / Xel-Ha one day thing and we paid 90$ pp the hotel was charging 130$ pp. Show Intro Only
